Hailing A Cab(ernet)
Most of you know that I am pretty picky about Cabernet Sauvignon, now it's finally time to sit down and talk (& taste) why.

About the event
Cabernet Sauvignon is known to many as the king of wine grapes. It is one of the most planted varieties in the world, reaching from its home in France to the ends of the earth. Some of the most expensive, age-worthy, and expressive wines come from this variety, so it's high time we have a class about it.
Frequent visitors to the shop know that I tend to favor Cabernet Sauvignon's Parent variety Cabernet Franc. Still, there are things that Cabernet Sauvignon has to say, that Cabernet Franc sometimes doesn't have the vocabulary for.
This class will study the origin, ancestral home, major wine styles, and countries worldwide that have put their own stamp on it. Where does it grow best? What foods does it go with? How long can it age? Why is it seemingly grown everywhere? These are some of the questions we will try our best to answer.
